Baarle-Nassau is a historic enclave village in North Brabant and is located near the Belgian border. The centre of Baarle-Nassau consists partly of Dutch Baarle-Nassau and partly of Belgian Baarle-Hertog. The area has many Dutch and Belgian enclaves located in each other's parts. One moment you are still in the Netherlands, while the next you walk straight into Belgium. Besides the enclave walk in the city centre, the stretched out woodlands, fens and moors in the area invite you to go on wonderful walking and cycling trips. Want to go out for the day? You can be in Breda or Tilburg in no time at all for some great shopping and the Efteling or Bobbejaanland are great with kids!
