Le Scalette is reachable only by car, A car is a must to be able to explore the are, go to restaurants, shopping ect.
LE SCALETTE is a part of a 16th century old farm complex in the Tuscans
hills just 10 miles outside of Florence.
The apartment is on 2 levels, it has been completely restored to include modern conveniences yet it retains the wonderful rustic feeling and simple elegance of the traditional Tuscan farm houses. From the house one can enjoy sprawling views of the surrounding hills dotted by medieval hamlets and farmhouses.
THE LOCATION:
An uphill unpaved road across vineyards and olive groves leads to the property.
The villages of San Vincenzo a Torri and ginestra fiorentina are a mile from the house. There you will find grocery shops ,pharmacy, post office, pizzeria , coffee shop/bar that serves lunch, a news stand/utilities store.
The house is 3 km from the toll free highway FI-PI-LI which leads to Florence and Pisa and to all major highway which allow one to visit all major Tuscan cities, Siena, Arezzo, Lucca, Pistoia.
7 km away on a local road is Montelupo where there is The Museo Archeologico della Ceramica. Montelupo is still an important centre of ceramic and terracotta .
The museum is considered one of the most important of its kind.
Trekking, riding and golf within reach,
The property is only 16 km from Florence and very closed to major highways , perfect location to tour Tuscany in every direction.
THE APARTMENT:
the space is divided in 2 levels plus a Lower level which has a laundry room and a second bathroom:
on the main floor is the living room with a fireplace and two sofas, one of which is a sofa bed, two glass paned doors lead to the garden which has a large gazebo with a table for outdoor dining. 2 steps lead to the eat-in kitchen, with a large table, fully equipped kitchen counter with microwave oven, electric oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, large fridge.
off the kitchen is a small toilet room. A door leads to the stairs which lead to the 3 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. One master bedroom with queenside bed, one double bedroom with double bed and a third bedroom with a single bed which can be converted into a double bed .
The bathroom has a shower.
All the windows have mosquito screens.

The apartment is very clean, comfortable, and stylish. The kitchen provides everything you can think of. The grounds and views are beautiful! In addition to beauty the place is very convenient to explore Tuscany by car. We did day trips to Siena, Certaldo, Fiesole, and Volterra. Patricia recommended...

We stayed there with my family (6) for the Christmas holidays.
Patrizia is a great host and made us feel home. Such a nice place. Wonderfull decorated. Nice fully equiped kitchen and a warm and cossy living. Even in the winter the garden looks nice and taken care of. I woul love to see this in spring or autum. Close to Florence but happy to stay outside. Just book it. You will not regret.

Patrizia was wonderful! She was very helpful in getting us checked in and providing recommendations in the area. We loved the location. From the house, it is a 20 miin drive to the train station to get to Florence and is perfect for day trips to Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, etc.
