Buck Barn - Mid Wales Getaway
Buck Barn Cabin is a charming and beautifully presented new addition to a well-loved collection of cabins nestled near the idyllic market town of Rhayader, right in the heart of rural Mid Wales. Designed to offer the perfect blend of comfort and countryside charm, it’s a wonderful choice for a peaceful family escape or a romantic retreat for two.
Inside, the cabin comfortably sleeps up to six guests. There’s a spacious king-size bedroom on the ground floor, a cosy mezzanine level with twin beds that children will love, and a double sofa bed available for extra guests at a small additional cost. The open-plan layout of the living, kitchen, and dining area has been cleverly designed to make the most of the space, so you can enjoy time together whether you’re cooking, relaxing, or sharing a meal.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a favourite family dinner or a quiet supper for two. If you fancy a night off from cooking, you can bring back a takeaway from Rhayader and enjoy it at the dining table, or simply unwind on the plush sofa in front of the smart TV.
While the inside is cosy and inviting, it’s the outdoor space that truly sets Buck Barn apart. Step outside to your private hot tub and soak in the warm, bubbling water as you gaze out over rolling green fields and the peaceful Welsh countryside. With outdoor dining furniture provided, you can eat alfresco, sip a drink as the sun goes down, or gather around your very own fire pit for toasted marshmallows and stories under the stars.
The location couldn’t be better. Rhayader is just a short drive away and has everything you might need during your stay, including local shops, welcoming cafes, and traditional pubs serving food daily. A little further afield lies the breathtaking Elan Valley – 70 square miles of dams, reservoirs, and rugged landscapes, perfect for walking, exploring, and soaking up the natural beauty of Mid Wales.
To make your stay even more special, the site is also home to a small group of friendly alpacas. These gentle animals are a real delight for guests of all ages, adding a magical and memorable touch to your holiday.

Buck Barn is a new addition to a well established & ever popular site of cabins located near the idyllic market town of Rhayader in the heart of rural Mid Wales.
The perfect family friendly getaway or equally as ideal for a romantic stay for two. This immaculately presented Cabin can sleep up to six guests with a downstairs king size bedroom and a space saving mezzanine area complete with twin beds, the perfect space for the children to spend the evening after an afternoon of having fun at the on site play area. There is also a double sofa bed which can be used for additional guests for an additional fee.
Having an open plan living, kitchen & dining area the space in this property really has been maximised to its full potential. You can ensure you don't miss out on a moment of fun with the family whilst making the most out of your stay right here.
Complete with all the amenities you should need for your stay, the kitchen is the perfect place to cook up a a family favourite supper or a romantic meal for a loved one. You can also make the most of the dining area with a take out from the local town or relax in front of the smart TV on the plush sofa.
If you like the sound of the inside, to us, the exterior really is the selling point. Submerge yourself in the warm, bubbling hot tub and just relax and recharge the social batteries all whilst taking in the view below for rolling green fields and nature at its finest. Sounds good right? Included with this property is also outdoor dining furniture so that you can either dine alfresco or just sit and relax and watch the sun go down with you favourite glass of bubbly. And that isn't all, at Buck Barn you have your very own fire pit too, is there anything nicer than gooey marshmallows toasted just to how you like them? We think not.

Location was fab. Very peaceful. Lots of wildlife. All amenities you could want and need. Underfloor heating and comfy bed/pillows. Hot tub was great fun for the children. Even got to enjoyed smores on the outdoor fire pit with decent winter weather.
Having to leave, comfy and homely to have stayed longer.

We had the best time at Buck Barn - the cabin itself was perfect and had everything you could want and need in a holiday rental. The extras were so well thought out and the kids had the best time roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. The location is stunning and everywhere nearby was very relaxed, even in summer holidays. We can’t wait to come back!

Me and my partner loved staying here, the views were amazing especially waking up to dozens of sheep right outside our door. Buck Barn was well looked after and had everything we needed for our stay, the hot tub was incredible too, the only thing i could fault is that there were lots of flies around...
