Located in the charming village of Withypool set at the heart of the Exmoor National Park, Valley Cottage is ideal for guests wanting to enjoy a rural escape.
Every bit the classic image of a 'chocolate box' cottage, there is a generous garden at the front with wonderful views across the valley, and a higher lawn area at the rear of the cottage as well.
Inside, there are original features galore and traditional decor offering a wonderfully homely feel. Downstairs, there is a dining room in addition to the kitchen, and a separate living room, generously furnished with comfortable sofa and armchairs. The bedroom layout offers great flexibility for the whole family, with one of the five bedrooms being on the ground floor and having a double bed and its own ensuite bathroom.
Upstairs to the first floor, there is another double bedroom, boasting beautiful views out across the valley.
There is then a further twin room and two smaller single bedrooms, ideal for children.
The main family bathroom is also upstairs, and has a bath with shower attachment.
There is also an additional ground floor WC for convenience. Outside, the garden has a patio table and chairs, so guests have the option of dining al fresco if desired.
There is a private off-road parking area for 2 cars over the road from the cottage, and more on-street is available for no cost. Locally, the village of Withypool has all the essentials on your doorstep, with a well-stocked village shop, popular tea rooms, and a pub all within walking distance.
There are delightful walks across Exmoor straight from the village, and the coastal towns of Minehead and Porlock are within easy reach by car. Not to be missed is a visit to Dunster, a truly picturesque village with the famous Dunster Castle, now looked after by the National Trust. Book directly with Finest Retreats, and start looking forward to your next break away! Please note: - Valley Cottage can accommodate a maximum of 6 adults per booking. - Access into the cottage via a pedestrian gate through the garden.
Some uneven patio slabs. -Stairs to first floor are steep, and very young children should be supervised accordingly.
A stair gate is available in the cottage. - Both bathrooms have baths with shower attachments. - Children of any age are welcome - Pets are welcome

Smukke omgivelser, stilhed, gode senge, rent, undtagen i køkkenet
Tallerkner, glas, bestik og gryder bør efterses, var ikke rent. Vi måtte starte vores ophold med at vaske næsten alt af. Ellers alt fint

A lovely quirky cottage with fantastic views. Due to the hot weather we didn’t go out of the village for 3 days but had everything we needed - a pub, tea rooms and a well stocked shop. Thank god for WiFi as none of us had a phone signal. Would recommend property to others

We had a wonderful weekend away. A beautiful location and although a small village you are treated to a tea room, a very well supplied post office and lovely pub. It’s only a short stroll down to the river. All in all a very relaxing stay and good location.
