This charming semi-detached Lakeland stone cottage is located in the village of Grasmere, a popular destination in the centre of the Lake District.
Tanner Croft Cottage is a two bedroom property with wood burning stove and breathtaking views, offering a cosy base for a two-couple or small family holiday in this beautiful Lake District village.
The cottage has a cosy charm the moment you walk into the open plan living space, with the sitting room centred around a feature fireplace that houses a wood burning stove. Both the sitting and separate dining area offer relaxing views across to the village. The kitchen has all the necessary amenities to keep your party well fed but retains the country living charm prevalent throughout the cottage. The first-floor bedrooms complete the accommodation, with a double and a twin continuing the cosy feel.
The cottage has a small gravelled garden area and from here you can relax on the garden seating and take in the views at the end of your day’s exploits.
Grasmere is steeped in historical charm, with all necessary amenities within walking distance. Perhaps try some famous Grasmere gingerbread as you wander through the village on your way back from lunch at one of the local inns.
Grasmere could not be more central, so everything is accessible from the village. A drive or bus ride will take you to everything the Lake District has to offer. Wind your way south to Windermere, or north to Ullswater to take in a choice of energetic water activities or a gentle cruise around the lake. This cottage is just lovely. Plenty of room for a family with two teenage boys. Separate loo, boot room, so no falling over each other. Very well appointed, really comfy beds, shame there is no dishwasher but we can put up with it. Sitting outside watching the world go by with a gin and tonic... Heaven. A really great cottage, so lovely we booked it straight away for the next year!

Cottage was lovely had everything we needed (Well maybe a tumble dryer? ) . We stayed on a very wet week in August but had packed for possible rain being in the lake district sothank God for the cosy woodburner!. It was a great start point for all our walks in week from scarfell to helvellyn (weathe...
