The large terrace also overlooks the river. Aviemore nestles in the heart of The Cairngorms National Park at the head of the Speyside Way and boasts a wonderful range of shops, restaurants and bars.
The area also offers a very wide range of outdoor activities including skiing, snowboarding, mountain and quad biking, zip lining, climbing, hill walking plus a variety of water sports on nearby Loch Insh, Loch Morlich and the River Spey, to name just a few of the myriad of activities available.
There is also a public pool and an ice rink within two miles from the property. Visit the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre, Landmark Centre in nearby Carrbridge or take a trip to the Highland Wildlife Park at nearby Kingussie, all of which are within easy reach. Really enjoyed our stay at the chalet. Location is superb with sunny deck overlooking the River Spey and lovely views to the top of the Cairngorms. All the facilities we needed for our holiday although some features, e.g. the bathrooms, would appreciate being modernised.

Absolutely superb location and view from the decking. Clean and tidy with plenty of hot water.
If going with more than 2 people, consider taking larger cooking pans as those provided simply can’t manage for a family of 4.
Children got cold at night as there doesn’t appear to be much in the way of insulation…but I loved it as I sleep better in the cold!!
Will happily book again!

Three gents walking the cairngorm mountain range. Needed a base close to the town. We found this location perfect and fitted all our needs. Best pub in town only 300m away (the bridge Inn). People do comment on the cabin being a little dated.... but it looked and was exactly like the pictures on the...
