A delightful little barn conversion situated in a tranquil area of Cumbria.
The cottage has its own patio and garden overlooking a pond.
The owner has encouraged wildlife and the garden attracts many different species.. 2 steps to entrance. Ground Floor: Living/dining room: TV, DVD Player, CD Player, Electric Woodburner, Sofa Bed (Single) (One Adult Only), Patio Doors To Garden Kitchen: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge Bedroom: 2 x Zip and Link Single Beds (Super Kingsize On Request), Pull Out Single (3ft) Bed Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet.
Electric convector heaters, electricity, gas, bed linen and Wi-Fi included.
Cot. Use of owner’s washing machine and freezer.. Rear garden with lawn, patio and garden furniture.
Private parking for 2 cars.
Bike store.
Visit England 3 Star.
No smoking.
Please note: There is a pond in the garden.. This delightful little barn conversion is situated in the grounds of the owner’s home in Ellonby a particularly tranquil area of Cumbria, just outside the National Park.
The location is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet but with easy access to the Lake District, Eden Valley, Carlisle and Scottish Borders.
There are several good dog friendly pubs serving bar meals nearby, the nearest of which is the Michelin starred gastro pub in Skelton, one mile away.
The owner’s are Blue Badge Guides (Official Cumbrian Tourist Board Guides) who possess a wealth of local information.
It may be possible to hire their services by prior arrangement. Free WiFi Cot hire available for £10.00. Up to one dog only, at a charge of £20. PLEASE ADVISE IF YOU WOULD LIKE THE BED AS A TWIN AT THE TIME OF BOOKING AS IT IS ALWAYS MADE UP AS A DOUBLE. Towels are not included. There is open water in the property grounds. Our week at Sycamore Cottage was lovely. The cottage is small but very well designed for comfort and relaxing. The garden is wonderful, successfully attracting many species of birds. We had a great week.

Chose the cottage as we needed to be near Skelton and proved to be the perfect spot for us. Excellent base to roam from and to explore the less touristy parts of Cumbria. The cottage itself was well equipped with the host on hand should they be needed but we didn’t experience any issues during our stay.

A lovely little cottage, with a peaceful garden, in a remote location but a couple of pubs within walking distance/a short drive. If you're after a busy town centre location this may not be for you, but if you want a peaceful stay, in true English countryside somewhere a little remote but only 15-20...
