Overall a comfortable, cosy place to use as a base for exploring the Northern Lake District. There are no local amenities within a reasonable walking distance, but Penrith is only a 10 minute drive away.We would definitely recommend to others and would stay again.

Location was really quiet and ideal for travelling around the lake district. Nice touch having Prosecco, coffee, tea, sugar and milk on arrival. Lodge had everything that was needed and the minor issues raised were being addressed.

Lodge is lovely but its out in the country side and tends to have a lot of flys so suggest you take fly spray and a none stick frying pan but been before and hope to go back again soon.
