If you cycle, you’ll love the quiet country lanes full of wildflowers and birds.
There are attractions for the whole family including canoeing or a steamer trip on Ullswater (20 miles). Enjoy a ride on a restored railway high in the North Pennines or catch the Settle to Carlisle railway line (5 miles), famous for its wonderful scenery and the 24 arched Ribblehead Viaduct.
The unspoilt destination will inspire and refresh you at any time of the year and a lively calendar of events throughout the year includes festivals, farmers’ markets, country and craft fairs, and traditional agricultural shows.

A lovely converted upper floor of a haybarn, privately sited on a working farm. Thoughtfully converted with good quality fittings, well equipped and with a delightful outside sitting area. Spotlessly clean. No towels provided but available at an extra charge.
Note: access is up a flight of outdoor wooden steps.

Perfect break away, nice quiet location, very close by for some wonderful walks.
We had a fantastic time at the heyloft and would have no hesitation to stay again.

There was no wifi and the bed was not very comfortable and creaking went turning over
