With use of the owners’ expansive grounds, a week in this beautiful gatehouse promises a holiday in Scotland to remember!. All on the Ground Floor: Living room: Freeview TV, DVD Player, Woodburner Dining room.
Kitchen: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Patio Doors Leading To Garden Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Bedroom 2: Single (3ft) Bed, Pull Out Single (3ft) Bed Ensuite: Bath With Shower Over, No Toilet Separate Toilet.. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included.
Initial logs for wood burner included.
Travel cot available on request. . Garden with sitting-out area with garden furniture.
Shared landscaped grounds with sitting-out area.
Private parking for 2 cars.
No smoking.. In a peaceful location just a mile from the delightful village of Edzell, this cosy, Grade C listed, detached gate lodge offers a haven of relaxation.
Originally a gatehouse for Dunlappie House, the property has been very comfortably furnished and equipped with a cosy wood burner.
With sunny aspects in the living room and bedroom, Dunlappie Lodge is a great choice for couples and small families.
There are many good walks in the area, ideal for wildlife lovers, such as at Glen Prosen, Clova, Glen Isla and Glen Esk. Visit the Caterthuns, two Iron Age forts nearby, or take a look around the Edzell’s selection of shops, tearooms and parks.
There is a very good golf course just half a mile from the house, with numerous others within easy reach.
To the north lie the magnificent Angus Glens leading deep into the Cairngorms, which has fantastic walking, climbing and mountain biking throughout the national park. 15 miles to the east are the picturesque fishing villages, cliffs and excellent beaches at St Cyrus, Lunan Bay and Montrose.
Alternatively, take the Victorian Heritage Trail through Royal Deeside to Braemar via the scenic Cairn o’ Mount Road, which offers panoramic views over the Howe o’ the Mearns and the Vale of Strathmore.
Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

A lovely lodge set in great location for visits to the river and glens as well as the coast. The downside is that the bathroom is ensuite to the second bedroom whilst the toilet is off the kitchen.
Poor connectivity for phones and wifi. Freeview on TV.

Lovely location. Comfortable and well equipped. Extremely helpful owner - Graeme even rescued us when we arrived home at 10pm after a long day out and couldn't find the key to the cottage! Fortunately we found it the next day!A great place for touring and visiting some of the many castles and historic houses in the area.

Lovely break away at Dunlappie Lodge. Cosy living room and nice comfy bed. I wasn't too keen on the toilet and washing facilities, but that was a personal opinion. Had a relaxing time and would recommend staying there.
