Both Cottages, The Farriers (ref 26967) and The Coach House (ref 26968) are set within the private, extensive and well cared for grounds of The Abbey Coach House.
Restored to a very good standard, this ideal retreat combines a rich tradition with comfortable, modern living.
Surrounded by the Lakeland Hills these unique, self-catering holiday properties are just a short stroll from the nearby villages where shops, restaurants and pubs serving local ales are in abundance.
Whether its a romantic break or a relaxing family holiday, the properties are ideally situated as a base for exploring the Lake District.
Take a 10 minute stroll to Bowness, cruise on one of England’s largest lakes.
The craggy fells and peaceful lakes inspired William Wordsworth, whose home in Grasmere is open to visitors, and also Beatrix Potter, who lived at Hill Top at Sawrey, now preserved by the National Trust.

A lovely cottage with a very quiet location, although located very close to other residential properties. Ideal for dog walks and the owner gave us detailed instructions of how to get around avoiding walking near the mail roads. We found this very helpful. lovely break.

Stayed with my husband and our little dog at this beautiful, peaceful ,secluded cottage with 10 mins walk into Winderemere village. Definately recommend. Host was lovely too. Had a lovely welcome pack, flowers etc for our 30th wedding anniversary. Hope to return.

Home from home. Beautiful location, everything we needed, very comfortable bed the accommodationwas second to none. So quiet and peaceful stunning garden views front and back. The weather was kind to us.I would recommend The Farriers 100% for a weekend break, summer holiday. Just perfect
